Biography

I was born in San Diego, California. My Dad was in the U.S. Army and we moved to Germany when I was around five. We moved back to the States in 1996, to Hinesville Georgia. Right before my senior year in 2001, I relocated to Fargo, North Dakota. Soon after, I met my wife, Falan (pronounced, Alan with an F), and a few years after that we married (2006). We live in West Fargo with our two dogs (Clyde and Studge), Cat (Eek), and Rabbit (Bunny Lebowski). Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, photography, and music. My career in hospitality began in food and beverage at the Holiday Inn, Fargo. I worked in every area of the restaurant and banquet kitchen there before moving to the Courtyard in Moorhead. Within a few years, I was promoted to the Executive Chef role at the Courtyard, and RMC purchased that hotel. During this time, I began going to college at night and on the weekends to earn my bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Mary, North Dakota, graduating in 2015. In May of 2016, I became the Assistant General Manager for the Home2 Suites of Fargo, and later that year, I became the General Manager.
